Utilities - General Curbside Recycling

  • General recycling is a mandatory program for curbside collection of recyclable materials that allows West Point City to save natural resources, energy, and landfill space, reduce pollution, and protect our environment. Recyclable materials include:

    • Paper
    • Newspapers
    • Magazines
    • Plastics
    • Cardboard
    • Aluminum and tin cans
    • Other similar items

  • The recycling can will be picked up every other week on the same day as your regular trash day, but by a different truck. All services will be provided by the City’s current hauler, Ace Disposal. From there it is taken to the Material Recovery and Transfer Facility.

  • In order for the City to cover costs, a general recycling can will cost $4.75 per month.
